​We are the grateful recipients of grants from the following organizations.

Northwoods Young Writers hosts a retreat in June on Woman Lake, just outside of Longville, Minnesota. There are two 4-day sessions during which teen girls work independently and in groups to write, critique, and build community. If you're a teen girl who loves writing and you're looking for an exciting summer getaway--this is the place, these are your people!

Experienced authors will welcome you to an exclusive 7-bedroom log home on the shores of Woman Lake. A licensed teacher will chaperone the campers in the main lodge. The authors and other teachers will stay in the guesthouse next door. Each session will have 18 campers working with all three authors. Not only are the surroundings and mentors inspiring, but delicious meals are shared with lively conversation and memorable camaraderie.  To learn more, explore the "Our Story" tab on this website. Dates for camp in 2026:
​June 10-13 and June 14-17
Applications open December 15  and are due February 15.
The cost for camp is $800.
​Scholarships are available to both new and returning campers.
