​We are the grateful recipients of grants from the following organizations.

Northwoods Young Writers will host a retreat in June on Pelican Lake, just outside of Orr, Minnesota. This 4-day session involves teen girls (grades 7-11 during the 2025/26 school year) working independently and in groups to write, critique, and build community. If you're a teen girl who loves writing and you're looking for an exciting summer getaway--this is the place, these are your people!

Experienced authors will welcome you to a charming 8-bedroom log home on Strand Island at Pelican Lake. Licensed teachers will chaperone the campers. Not only are the surroundings and mentors inspiring, but delicious meals are shared with lively conversation and memorable camaraderie.  To learn more, explore the "Our Story" tab on this website.
